CORE VALUES
The most important category of this competition it is about building teams! We are judge based on the core values listed in the presentation bellow:
RESEARCH PROJECT
- We learned about tornadoes....
- Our Partners
Our innovative ideas helps with prevention and/or first response to tornadoes warnings, and is called
MIR - Mobile Ion Ray Drone. To learn more about project please select the link.
Robot Game
The robot game is where we apply STEM knowledge to build a robot
that can accomplish as many missions as possible in 2.30 minutes!
It needs to be fast and accurate. We spent many hours learning Mindstorm
Technology and improving previous
designs.
OUR STRATEGY
We identified the missions that we thought we could succeed in developing and provided the highest score. We thought how these missions could be combined together in routes. That is how we end up with bowling route also executing the Cardio and small video screen missions. We assigned individual team members as “Mission Experts” (ME), who were responsible to keep team informed on specific mission rules and its updates. In this phase we were not too concerned with the time restrictions of the game, as much as being able to complete well few missions.
THE DESIGN
1- We used bricks for part of the robot base, and we cross braced them to make it sturdy.
2- We had specialized attachments that were modified to be used for multiple missions.
3- We have a flexible attachment that is easily removed and is used to hit cardiovascular, and it will not get in the way of other missions.
4- We have large wheels to save battery, go faster, and overcome the gap in transitions.
